Lennie has just sent me this letter which he has just sent to our shadow
list - the Alchemists...

I felt it should be passed on here also...

The Loonies send their commiserations to the Alchemists at this time of
great loss...

DEAR ALL,

I am sorry to inform you of the sad demise of one Dr. D. Taylor, a well 
known if not respected member of our mailing list.

He died this morning, Tueday 4 June 1996, buried under an avalanche of 
email messages. Steps have been taken to remedy the situation and to
prevent further fatalaties among the rescue party, currently at work
with various pieces of heavy editing and deletion equipment. 

We would like to remind our readers that they are on this mailing list 
at their own risk, and that whilst every effort is taken to minimise the 
dangers, we can accept no responsiblity for loss, damage or injury 
however caused whilst reading the group's mail.

We would also like to take this opportunity to advise our readers that 
the dangers of personal accident from this service are minimal, but if 
you consider even this faint possibility unacceptable please advise us 
accordingly, to permit us to update our records.
