Hiya Folks... Now it's time for some apparently-true news that demonstrates how the police sometimes have to deal with more than just people... Wishes & Dreams... - ANDREA xx ******* THE LOONY BIN **** loonies@bloodaxe.com ******* Archive: http://www.theloonies.co.uk/ *********** ANDROMEDA **** Internet Goddess *********** ------- Forwarded foolishness follows ------- NEWS OF OTHER LIFE FORMS ------------------------ The job description for police officer in the Cleveland suburb of Medina, Ohio, probably doesn't mention battling with snakes. But that's what officers ended up doing earlier this week when they took on a five- foot boa constrictor that'd worked its way into an apartment via the plumbing. Elese Martin told the Cleveland Plain Dealer she called police after walking into her bathroom to find the reptile half in and half out of the toilet bowl. "I screamed loud enough for the whole city to hear," she said. An apartment maintenance man pulled the snake out of the toilet bowl. Then police came in and grabbed it by using a noose designed for handling wild dogs. After getting the critter under control, they took it outside and killed it. No one is sure where the snake came from. Police say they suspect it may have been a pet, but building managers say they would evict any resident who had kept the reptile in the building.
