The joke today reminded me of a personal experience.
I had been licensed as an Agent to sell every type of Insurance in the
State of Florida. I went into teaching, and got my Masters in Education.
I started teaching a course in Insurance at Jacksonville University at
night.
I decided to reinstate my Agents license, so I could sell insurance
again.
I wrote to the Insurance Commisioners Office,and was informed that I
would need one insurance course to be eligible. They informed me that
the course was being offered at Jacksonville University, and it would
make me eligible.
I wrote back and told them I was teaching the course. I was notified
that teaching it didn't count, I would have to be taking it!
This happened in 1961.
