"I noticed they were stumbling ... and then I saw some pigs falling asleep. Others got aggressive and started fighting with each other. Some were even throwing up." Birger Moquist was quoted as saying in the Friday edition of the daily Ostgotan. A Swedish vet called to the farm at Linkoping, central Sweden, said the pigs had definitely consumed alcoholic mash and were behaving "just like humans." As expected, the pig party resulted in a serious hangover. "They could only eat once the following day compared with the usual four times. It took three days for them to get back to normal," Moquist said. It was not clear how the feed of juice, yogurt and milk had fermented.
