Dad : Sure. Son : Dad, what is politics? Dad : Well, let's see if I can explain it like this... In our house, I am the wage earner, so let's call me Capitalism. Your mother is the one who spends the money, so let's call her the government. You represent the people, the maid represents the working class and your little brother represents the future. Does that make it any clearer? Son : I'm not sure, but I'll sleep on it. During the night, the son is awakened by his little brother's screams, he gets up and goes to see what is wrong: his brother has soiled his nappy. He goes to his parent's bedroom, and sees his mother asleep. He therefore goes to the maid's room, and sees through the keyhole: his father in bed with the maid. No matter how hard he knocks, they cannot hear him. The following day, he goes to see his father... Son : Dad, I think I've understood politics. Dad : Do you think you can explain it in your own words? Son : Sure. Whilst capitalism is screwing the working class, the government is sound asleep. The people are being completely ignored and the future is full of shit. -- Steven J.
